We have some very exciting news! RetailMeNot just launched a new feature that will help you save even more money at the restaurants you love and frequent.
This new feature will let you purchase a gift card, while earning cash back, on the RetailMeNot app. After your purchase, you will immediately be able to use the gift card to pay for your meal, and the cash back amount will be put right into your RetailMeNot wallet. Plus, you can purchase a gift card via the app on a monthly, weekly or even daily basis – the limit doesn’t exist!
To help you use this new feature, we have a step-to-step guide to make sure you’re saving every time you order from a restaurant or dine out.
First, download the RetailMeNot app on an Apple or Google device. SO easy!
In the homepage of the app, you’ll find the “Cash Back on Gift Cards” section, as seen below:
Click into “view all” to explore all the 75 restaurants that are offering cash back offers when you purchase a gift card.
Next step! Select the restaurant you want to purchase a gift card from. For this example, I chose DoorDash, which works with many local restaurants for delivery or pickup orders. You can see the minimum and maximum choices for the gift card amount, which varies by restaurant.
Then you can easily pay for the gift card via Apple Pay (iOS) or Google Pay (Android) to complete the transaction and get your gift card AND earn cash back.
Lastly, feel free to use your gift card right away or save it for another time – the gift card won’t expire. So easy!
Here’s another example: Some of these restaurants, like Taco Bell, want you to add the gift card to your online account with the restaurant, and here is what it will look like this:
You’ll be sent your gift card via email, and it will look like this:
You can then easily use the gift card while paying and enjoy your cash back! Win-win!
