Clever Wire and Polymer Clay Pendant Uses Wire Frame and Ball Headpins / The Beading Gem

I will be the first to admit I’m not good with clay.  So I always look forward to finding clever polymer clay jewelry tutorials which look really good but does not require a lot of skill!

Well, this clever tutorial by SunDIYday Jewelry Tutorials fits the bill! Victoria is an excellent creator and instructor.  She uses heart shaped wire frame connectors but you can use other ones. I love how she cuts a piece out of one to meld into the other. Ball headpins bent, hammered flat and cut into pieces form the detail work.

This project suits beginners because only a single color polymer clay is used to fill the frames.  The wire details and flat back crystals are simply rolled flat into the polymer clay. Color comes from the embossing powders.  The embossing powders sort of melt during the curing process. Resin is used to seal everything in.  You can use regular epoxy resin instead of uv resin. For the former, use BG1516 for a 15% discount for Brilliant Resin which I recommend as a safe jewelry grade resin to use.
