WWE SmackDown tees up an intercontinental championship match weeks in the making as well as qualifiers for the Money in the Bank ladder match on Friday night. Ricochet vs. Gunther expects to deliver an exciting clash of styles and Drew McIntyre is among those with eyes set on a world title. SmackDown heads to Raising Cane’s River Center Arena in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at 8 p.m. ET on Friday.
Gunther has effortlessly slapped around competition since making his SmackDown debut in April. The imposing Austrian has repeatedly terrorized Drew Gulak despite Ricochet’s intervention. The intercontinental champion looks to oppose Gunther’s tyranny and hold onto his title.
Two Money in the Bank qualifying matches are also scheduled for this week’s edition of SmackDown. Longtime rivals McIntyre and Sheamus will compete on the men’s side, while Lacey Evans and Xia Li attempt to secure a spot in the women’s ladder match.
