With a chic color palette of white, gold, black, and dark green, this wedding at The Stables at Connequenessing is any modern soonlywed’s dream. The venue – which boasts a warm, rustic lower floor perfect for cocktails and a clean, modern barn-like ceremony and reception space upstairs – doesn’t need much to be beautiful. For that reason, Carly and Colin kept things simple and elegant with lush monochromatic florals from Julie James Designs and painted acrylic signs from Chelsea Helen Designs. In keeping with the contemporary-meets-classic look, Carly wore a beautiful Madi Lane wedding dress from Bridal Beginning that featured a floral illusion lace sleeves and bodice. With accessories from Clarissa Boutique and a low, sleek chignon, this bride’s romantic look was complete. Speaking of romantic, just wait until you see these images from Marien Malloy Photography. The love is almost palpable!
About the Couple
Carly and Colin should have met many years before because they went to the same college and had family/friend connections. However, they did not meet until 2014 when their paths crossed on a dating app. After six months of knowing each other, Colin had to move to Texas for two years. This made their new relationship a long distance one but it provided them the opportunity to really get to know each other and appreciate the time they could spend together.
Throughout their relationship, they have always gone to Charlottesville, VA multiple times a year to enjoy the scenery and the wineries and breweries. On November 7, 2020, Colin proposed at Thatch Winery since it was their favorite place!
About the Wedding
The wedding was romantic and simple with flowers, greenery, and candles and a color palette of black, dark green, and gold. The Stables provided a unique and warm environment.
Favorite Moment
Finally seeing each other for the first time at our first look. That moment felt like it would never come as we were getting ready. When we were able to see each other, all of our nerves just vanished and all we cared about was seeing one another all dressed up. After seven years, this was one of the best moments in our relationship.
