Ryder Cup couples arrive in style to Rome’s Spanish Steps

Some of the biggest names in golf were dressed to the nines as they arrived for pictures at the Spanish Steps in Rome ahead of the 2023 Ryder Cup.

Both European and American players competing in the Ryder Cup showed up in true ballroom attire for team pictures alongside their partners.

The three-day team competition between the United States and Europe features 12-man teams on both sides, but first the players’ partners and wives are treated to fancy dinners, serenades and fabulous photos in their best attire.

American players wore matching black suits with charcoal gray ties to the gala, while the European team donned blue suits with black ties.

The color — and wow factor — was left to the wives and girlfriends.

Brooks Koepka, the only player from Saudi-backed LIV Golf competing in this year’s tournament was accompanied by his model wife, Jena Sims, who wore a white dress with a fur hem that went from he right ankle to her left hip.

Spain’s Jon Rahm, the current World No. 3 golfer known for his passionate play, planted a smooch on wife Kelley Cahill, who was decked out in a stunning green dress with a plunging neckline.

The pair posted a rare snapshot of their date the night as part of the tournament’s social outings.

Jillian Wisniewski, wife of controversial American Ryder Cup pick Justin Thomas, matched her husband in an understated strapless black dress with white sleeves below her bare shoulders.

Team Europe’s Rory McIlroy came with wife Erica Stoll, who walked through a throng on fans in a black gown with a see-through midriff.

American Sam Burns made headlines with his “USA” emblazoned haircut this week, but was upstaged by wife Caroline Campbell’s frilly navy blue number on the Spanish Steps.

While the players and their partners are enjoying the pre-tournament festivities, they’ll soon have to get down to business.

Ryder Cup play kicks off on Friday morning with with the American side holding a 27-14-2 all-time advantage, though the Europeans are 11-9 since 1979.

The U.S. squad will be going for its first win on European soil in 30 years.
