According to an expert, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s eldest one has started controlling the narrative and uses fashion to let the world know what she thinks.

North, 10, has sometimes been known to channel her father’s world-famous style.
From wearing her dad’s blue Ralph Lauren Polo top at Paris Fashion Week to adopting his black leather looks.
Given Kim and Kanye’s huge fashion impact, North’s style try-outs are hardly surprising.
In December, North was photographed wearing Kanye’s 2016 Met Gala Balmain jacket.

She stood decked out in the ultra-rare item with her mom and siblings in front of their lavish Christmas tree.
Parenting expert Kirsty Ketley said North knew she was “making a statement.”
She said given past tensions, the youngster would not want to “rock the boat.”
Kim wrote in the post, “You know North went through the archives to pick her dad’s Balmain Met jacket,” before adding, “If you know you know.”
In an exclusive interview, Ketley told The U.S. Sun: “North already knows how to make a statement.
“She knows how to get likes on social media and grab attention from the world.
“North will also be very aware of how her clothes look.
“North wants to express her love for her father, particularly when negativity surrounds him.
“She also does not want to rock the boat after the previous criticism from Kanye.”
In the wake of their 2022 divorce, Kanye ranted online about North being on TikTok.

The rapper called Kim out for letting their young daughter on the app.
Both parents had also argued about Kim’s relationship with Pete Davidson.
Kanye admitted on Good Morning America that he fought with Kim over their four kids, North, Saint, 7; Chicago, 5; and Psalm, 4.
In July 2023, North was spotted in Paris that July wearing a Pastelle varsity jacket.
Kanye had worn it to the 2008 American Music Awards.
That August, on a trip to Japan, North showed off an almost identical look to Kanye’s outfit for MTV’s Total Request Live in 2004.

Ketley argued that North had picked up the pace to show her father she missed him.
“Wearing the clothes that Kanye does could be a nod to the bond she shares with him,” she said.
“It can be a sign of missing him. The clothes could make her feel closer to Kanye.
“North’s choice of black and heavy gear is also very different to her mom’s style.
“Kim’s style is something North may not be keen to emulate.
“We often see her mocking Kim and what she does.
“This could be a nod to her showing the world that she likes to be different from her mom.”

In 2023, North criticized Kim’s glamorous red carpet dress for the Met Gala.
In front of Schiaparelli’s creative director, North’s remarks were captured and later shown in a clip on The Kardashians.
North, then 9, told her mom her pearly number looked cheap.
“Clearly, North knows her mind and what she wears and does not want to wear herself,” Ketley added.

“She does not mind whether Kim likes it or not. I am sure she likes the attention it brings to her.
“That is something that all parents should note – unless it is inappropriate.
“It is important to allow children to wear what they feel most comfortable in/are happy in.
“This allows them the freedom to express themselves.
“Kim is also probably conscious of not upsetting Kanye or North,” she said.

“Otherwise, North is behaving like any normal 10-year-old and finding her style,” Ketley added.
“Her influences may come from the music she is into.
“She might like the styles that her music icons wear or from what she sees on TikTok.
“She is on a journey of self-discovery, which will continue throughout her transition into adulthood.
“Clothes and appearance are often among the first things children start experimenting with.
“This is a common thought process most tweens and teens go through.”

Ketley suggested that North seemed determined to wear what she liked and not her mom’s type of clothes.
“I am sure she will only wear something because she wants to,” she added.
“She does not strike me as the kind of child who would wear something she wouldn’t want to.
“Kids nowadays often copy their parents’ style.
“Just because North is a girl, why should she only look to her mom for style influence?
“North should be allowed the freedom to wear what she wants – where appropriate.
“She can find her way and style like any other young girl growing up.”
“But North does need to make sure she is seeking the right kind of validation for it,” she said.
“This means that it makes her feel happy in herself.
“She should not be making style decisions for likes on social media.
“But more importantly, she should not try to make her parents happy with her clothes, namely Kanye or anyone else.”
