I fell in love with beading and jewellery making after a difficult time in my life. All those little beads and findings helped get me through it. I am deaf so it was difficult for me to take classes and the whole Zoom thing hadn’t happened yet. But I used books and magazine to learn the various techniques. From there it was a short step into selling my jewellery at summer art and craft shows. I graduated just as the pandemic hit! A lousy time to look for a job. I had so much inventory from years of beading that I decided to open an Etsy shop to sell some of it and make a bit of money.
And as they say, the rest is history.
