Kate Middleton wows in white in new Together At Christmas video

Kate Middleton epitomes elegance in a new video for tonight’s ‘Together At Christmas’ carol service.

Kate Middleton, dressed in a white sequin and pearl jacket, smiles in front of a Christmas tree.

Wearing a sparkling white ensemble, the Princess of Wales delivers a message to the nation, promoting the Christmas Eve television special:

Join me this Christmas Eve for a special Carol Service as we say a heartfelt thank you to all those supporting the very youngest members of our society during those crucial early years

The Princess of Wales

The Princess will attend the ‘Together at Christmas’ carol service at Westminster Abbey this evening.  It’ll be filmed by ITV and broadcast on ITV1/ITVX at 7.45pm on the 24th of December.

I expect Prince William and two or three of the Wales children will attend.  George and Charlotte accompanied their parents at last year’s concert. I suspect Louis will join his siblings this year.

This year’s theme is ‘children and families’.  Kate’s using the concert to amplify her ‘Shaping Us’ campaign, which she launched through the Centre for Early Childhood back in January.

To reinforce the theme, organisers have installed a special Christmas Post Box outside the abbey this year. They’ve invited children attending the performance to post handmade cards. The cards will be delivered to children and families struggling over the festive season. Will we see the Wales Children post their own cards this evening?  I suspect so.

“Children and families” will be reflected throughout the abbey, which organisers have filled with sustainable, eco-friendly decorations that “nod to the theme”. I’m excited to see what that will look like.

Ramping up for excitement for the festivities, Kensington Palace shared another short video on their social media channels yesterday afternoon. A compilation of guests opening invitations to the concert and their reactions:

Tonight, the Royal Family will be out in full force for the Together At Christmas carol concert.  We expect to see members of the Middleton family attend too.  Other guests include community heroes, those connected to the early years sector and people who’ve had a challenging year – including children and families who might find the winter period difficult. Nominations came from Lord-Lieutenants nationwide and various charities connected to the Royal Family.

Guests can expect musical performances from Westminster Abbey’s world-renowned choir and a host of stars—I’m particularly looking forward to the duet by Beverley Knight and Adam Lambert.  A number of poignant readings will be delivered by speakers, including The Prince of Wales, Emma Willis and Roman Kemp.

Let’s have a quick look at Kate’s white ensemble in the video promo.

Jasmine captured Kate’s look perfectly. She wrote, “Catherine looks so beautiful! Giving angel at the top of a Christmas tree vibes”.  Quite!

We cannot see the Princess’s full ensemble, only her white bouclé jacket—which Middleton Maven identified straight away—it’s by Self-Portrait

Delicately placed pearl embellishments adorn the luxurious bouclé jacket’s Peter Pan collar, front black and sleeve cuffs.

The jacket also feature sequins, which along with the pristine white hue and pearl detailing, work perfectly for the festive season. All three together conjure images of freshly fallen snow.

The jacket is a testament to Self-Portraits keen eye for detail and luxury.  It’s cosy, yet sophisticated.

If you’re wanting to buy the jacket, you’re out of luck I’m afraid. It appears to be sold out at the time of writing, unfortunately.

This isn’t the first Self-Portrait piece in Kate’s wardrobe.  The Princess has a clear affinity for the brand—we’ve spotted her in nine of their pieces in recent years.  Their aesthetic clearly aligns with her elegant and modern style.

Complementing the jacket, Kate wore her Cassandra Goad Cavolfiore earrings.  The statement earrings, with their cluster of pearls set in 18ct gold resemble winter berries, tying in seamlessly with the seasonal theme.

Each earring is set in 18ct yellow gold with seven pearls totalling 31.25 carats and diamonds amounting to 0.3 carats. The design, inspired by the vibrant Sicilian markets and the striking form of cauliflowers, translates into a cluster of white pearls set upon golden stems, accented with diamonds to mimic the sparkle of dewdrops. The earrings measure approximately 20mm, offering a significant presence on the ear while remaining elegant and versatile for various occasions.

The earrings remain in stock on the designer’s website, they are priced at £5,430.
