Good Molecules is a super affordable skincare brand, and after trying the brand’s Pineapple Exfoliating Powder, I was excited to try the Good Molecules Overnight Exfoliating Treatment, when I got it in one of the Beautylish Lucky Bags.
The Good Molecules skincare products are stocked at Beautylish, ULTA and also via the Good Molecules website. Their products are priced between $5 and $18, and when you purchase their products via Beautylish, we, in the UK, don’t have to worry about surprise hefty customs fees.
What Is The Good Molecules Overnight Exfoliating Treatment?
Wake up to a smoother, clearer complexion with Overnight Exfoliating Treatment from Good Molecules. This blend of 10% alpha and beta hydroxy acids helps to resurface and renew, smoothing away dead skin cells and unclogging pores to reveal visibly radiant skin.
The Good Molecules Overnight Exfoliating Treatment is a clear, viscous serum, which is designed to target texture, congestion, clogged pores, enlarged pores and dullness all-in-one. It contains a total of 10% AHA’s and BHA’s with glycolic acid, lactic acid and salicylic acid, and can be used 2–3 times per week.
Good Molecules keep things transparent and easy to understand with their skincare, and tell you exactly when and how to use the products, plus, letting you know where in your skincare routine, you should use the product. Good Molecules recommend using this overnight exfoliating treatment after you’ve cleansed and toned, but before you apply a moisturizer and SPF.
Good Molecules Overnight Exfoliating Treatment is housed within a clear, frosted glass bottle, with a glass pipette dispenser. It’s so easy to use, and you only need 3–4 drops, as the formula is thin and stretchy, and spreads evenly across the face and neck.
My skin is annoyingly sensitive and reactive, so I followed the Good Molecules recommendation of using the treatment once a week until the skin has built up tolerance, but even with regular use, I can only get away with using the product once a week, but even with once weekly use, it’s made such a noticeable improvement in the texture of my skin.
It does have a subtle tingle, when you first apply, but it doesn’t sting or burn. If I ever have a blemish, I hate how the skin surrounding the blemish always looks dry and flaky, from using whichever blemish treatment I’m using. However, this serum works wonders at making the skin smooth and flake-free around the blemish, so they’re so much easier to cover up with concealer.
I love how effective the Good Molecules Overnight Exfoliating Treatment is with any uneven texture. I’ve even applied it to where I have keratosis pilaris, and it’s made a noticeable difference. I would love Good Molecules to make a body version of this exact formula, as I bet it would be amazing for treating ingrown hairs on the legs, after shaving.
I can’t believe it’s only $6 / £6. I know the Ole Henriksen Dewtopia Night Treatment contains 20% PHA’s and AHA’s, but I actually find the Good Molecules Overnight Exfoliating Treatment to be just as effective, and the price difference? $54 difference between them.
