Since these two are celebrating their anniversary, let’s celebrate by sharing all of the pretty moments from their fall Soiree. The festivities took place at Runnymede, outside of Charleston. After the ceremony under the oaks, overlooking the river, guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the riverbanks. And, the dinner and reception in a large tent on the lawn. Photography by Corbin Gurkin.
Our bride chose a dramatic tailored gown by Lihi Hod Bridal. Shoes are by Malone Souliers And, with a dainty bundle of Lily of the Valley, she was a quintessential fall bride.
We love the trend of the bridesmaids’ pj photo.
For this black tie wedding, black gowns for the bridesmaids was the chicest choice.
With so much expanse at the ceremony site, we got to design to create the space. So, a burst of florals on the grand oak, and bursts of blooms lining the bank of chairs create a formal feel.
And, adding an aisle offers not only decor, but also something for the wedding party to walk on and not mess up their shoes. Also, it makes for the prettiest photos to have something for the bride and groom to marry under.
Guests enjoy a cocktail hour on the lawn afterwards. Our oyster display table, an over the top charcuterie board, and several speciality cocktails are some of the offerings.
Also for something fun, we created a speciality drink “station”
When doing a clear top tent, a lot of the unsightly mechanisms are visible to guest. So, we of course like to design around that, hide things strategically, and make it look warm and inviting.
Inside, natural and seasonal elements come together to create a magical dinner space. For example, the dinner linens are suede, which makes for textural perfection. Natural wood chargers but with white washed details anchor each place setting. The green linen napkins are decorated with fresh sprigs of rosemary. And, the place settings are leather round with names embossed. Finally, burlap lamp shades provide warm glowing light instead of hard over head lighting only.
Afterwards, the big reveal of the dance lounge, opens up and guest move into the surprise setting.
Celebrating their heritage, our couple opted for a traditional oversized berry topped Italian wedding cake.
Our goal for every couple and their guests is to have the most fun night!
Our couple departs in a vintage Rolls Royce after a sparkler send off…And, an outfit change of course!
