cosRX Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Cream Review – Unboxing Beauty

cosRX Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Cream Review – Unboxing Beauty

Let’s go back to a favorite of mine from cosRX.  This product has never been changed since I first tried it back in 2015.  NOTHING has changed  ~ not the ingredients list, nor the packaging.  I guess if you got a good thing going, why change it?  In other words, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.  There are not a lot of reviews out there on this product, but everyone that I know that has used it, loves it. I am, of course, talking about the Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Cream.    I received this product from Jolse Cosmetic, a premier K-Beauty online store, complementary  for review purposes ~ however, I have purchased it many times in the past.

Skin Type/Concerns: Oily, blemish prone, dehydrated pores, aging skin with fine lines/wrinkles, hyper-pigmentation: sun damage & PIH

I received these products complementary to review and was not paid.  All reviews are my own honest opinion and  I never have been asked to write copy for a brand.  This blog post might contain promo codes, affiliate and referral links, which using my links will help generate a small commission that helps support my blog at no extra cost to you.

Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Cream key ingredients are humectant sodium hyaluronate (3000ppm), which increases hydration as it efficiently bind itself to water, resulting in firm elastic skin.  It can also reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by plumping up your skin. along with sea buckthorn, a vitamin C rich ingredient along with antioxidant vitamins A and E, beta carotene, minerals, amino acids and fatty acids.  Vitamin C is important for brightening and stimulating collagen production.  It contains 200 to 800 times more vitamins than apples, which is why it is known for its antioxidant properties to help slow down aging and to regenerate new skin cells, while penetrating deep into your derma layer and locking moisture inside.

This also contains amino acid humectant betaine, a non-irritating ingredient that provides silky smooth skin while soothing and calming the  skin. Another essential amino acid,  arginine, is also an antioxidant, helping to aid in collagen production to combat aging. More humectants with glycerin and panthenol, the latter is also a good lubricant on the skin and helps calm and soothe skin as well.

A couple of seed oils show up in here:  lightweight sunflower seed is rich in antioxidant vitamin E, providing skin protection and macadamia seed, rich in anti-aging fatty acids: palmitoleic acid:  delays skin and cell aging; oleic acid: moisturizing and regeneration properties; linoleic acid: prevents water loss from your skin tissues.  Macadamia seed oil is also high in phytosterols, which helps calm and soothe irritated skin. Derived from olive oil, cetearyl olivate and sorbitan olivate  have long lasting moisturizing properties.

Ingredients:  Hippophae Rhamnoides  (Sea Buckthorn Tree) Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Betaine, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate (3000 ppm), Arginine, Panthenol, Dimethicone, Ethylhexylglycerin, Carbomer, Allantoin, Xanthan Gum  cosDNA

Nothing sexy about this plain white tub with a blueish-purple label.  It’s what is inside that counts ~  Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Cream  is a hybrid of a gel and a cream, leaning more towards a cream, but it isn’t thick or heavy.  The white gel-cream feels very slippery and almost like it has snail filtrate in it, but it doesn’t.   The light, almost lotion-y texture is still very moisturizing with no scent.  When I apply this to my skin, my skin is very moist and I can feel the protective, slippery film.

I do have to wait about 10 minutes for it to absorb in completely and my skin is very dewy, but not greasy.  There is a tacky residue, so I do use this only as a night moisturizer ~ if you have drier skin, it will probably absorb completely.  I love this gel-cream, especially in the cooler months, as the dry forced heat from my apartment does leave my skin parched in the morning.  When I use this, my skin in the morning is very soft, hydrated and still feels moist without the stickiness.  This product does help with my moisture barrier to help keep water and moisture in and dryness OUT.   I only use a dollop of this for  my skin, and this jar will last me MONTHS.

Back in 2015, as an oily skinned person,  I was worried when I first tried this cream, as the description states it is for dry or severely dry skin. I don’t have dry skin, but dehydrated skin and I have learned that by reviewing the ingredients list first, whether or not this will work for me.  However, way back when, I didn’t know that, so it was a miracle that this never broke me out in blemishes.  Not a clogged pore in sight and my skin loves this cream.  Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Cream is described as a  “moisture drink” for your skin and that is a pretty good description for it.   Another selling point for this cream that ACTUALLY works is its price point.  It sells for under $21.00 retail, which is a steal, but Jolse sells it for under $13.00, which is an even better price!
