A Sad Goodbye to TierraCast

A Sad Goodbye to TierraCast

Some of you may already know this. But TierraCast, the US maker of high quality pewter based jewelry components is closing, by the end of this year, after a storied 45 year history. This is indeed a sad goodbye to a company renowned not just for excellent products but also for wonderful customer service.

Here is a snippet of the announcement I received :

As a manufacturer we have faced increasing challenges, including compliance and regulation demands, rising costs, supply chain issues, changes in the market, overseas competition, and declining sales. Over time these factors have proven to be insurmountable.

Currently, their wholesale inventory is in good shape but as time goes on, these stocks will not be replenished. Going forward, there are also retail vendors like these who sell TierraCast supplies. I also have a modest collection here for sale – currently 10% off.  So, if you have a particular need for certain TierraCast designs, get them sooner rather than later while they are available.

As one of their customers as well as a collaborator for many years. I can attest to their commitment to customer satisfaction. Their staff are always kind, helpful and friendly- evidence for the company’s respect for their employees and customers.

I would not have been able to create so many, many tutorials without TierraCast’s support over nearly a decade.  Shared below are some of my favorites. Click on the link below each image to see the full tutorial.
