Harry Styles has set the internet alight after he was spotted with grown-out locks after previously shaving his head—and a video of a woman admiring the pop star has gone viral.
The former One Direction singer shocked people on the internet after he debuted a shaved head while attending U2’s Las Vegas Sphere concert in November. The “Fine Line” singer was photographed in the audience with actor Taylor Russell, whom he has been linked to since June. At the time, fans weren’t too pleased with the new look.
Now Styles has turned heads once again when he was spotted in the crowd for Luton Town’s soccer match against Manchester United on Sunday. However this time, people have been heaping praise on the singer’s appearance.
Kadie, a woman who goes by @fineIinerry on X, formerly Twitter, has uploaded a video of her looking adoringly at Styles while he was at the EPL game.
Newsweek reached out to a Styles representative for comment via email Tuesday.
“my boyfriend just sent me this video of myself watching harry,” she wrote. In the clip, she can be seen watching TV, which shows Styles in the audience of Sunday’s game.
Her boyfriend captioned the video “I don’t think she’s ever looked at me like that,” and at the time of writing, it had been viewed 2.4 million times.
In a follow-up post, Kadie wrote: “My boyfriend is very aware he is second best don’t worry guys.”
Kadie told Newsweek that she “really likes” Styles’ new look.
“It was such a crazy feeling, I casually posted it on X not giving it a second thought and when I went back onto the app 5 minutes after posting it, the video already had thousands of views. When I went to bed and woke up the next morning, the video had 1.4 million views. Since then, another page has shared it on Instagram and on there it has 3 million views! I am genuinely so shocked by the sheer amount of views and how many people have seen me swooning over Harry!
“I know a lot of people were unsure about [his hair] but I think it looks great. It was a bit of a shock at first but it’s since grown on me.”
While some commenters have said they’re worried about how Kadie’s boyfriend feels of her love for the singer, she said: “My boyfriend is very supportive of my love for Harry, he even bought tickets last year for us to see him in Munich on our anniversary!”
People took to the comments of Kadie’s original post to share how they could relate.
“it’s going to be so hard to explain to my future boyfriend that dating me will also mean dating harry styles,” one X user commented.
“my ex used to say ‘i’m not even gonna ask if you love me nearly as much as you love harry bc i know if you were in the same state as him you’d leave me if there was even a chance of seeing him’ like he was so right,” said another.
“Haha, caught in the act of fangirling over Harry Styles! Love it!” a third person wrote.
Kadie isn’t the only person who approves of Styles’ new look, as a variety of other social media users have shared their love for it.
“this haircut does him justice, big time!!!” one person posted.
“Harry Styles is thirty, flirty and thriving,” said another.
Someone else added: “GUYS ARE WE OK?!?! BCS IM ABSOLUTELY NOT.”
Styles’ curly hair has become a trademark over the years and while some fans were upset when he shaved his head, others speculated the reason as to why he did so.
Some people on X believed it was to signal he was going into a new era and others said he did it in response to Taylor Swift. She and Styles briefly dated between November 2012 and January 2013, during which she penned the songs for her album 1989. Fans have long said that parts of these songs are about their romance.
Then, on October 27, 2023, Swift released the rerecorded version of her album, which features the track, “Now That We Don’t Talk (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault).” Fans are saying that the lyric “You grew your hair long” in the second verse is in reference to Styles growing out his hair following their breakup.
Styles has not yet spoken about what led him to shave his locks.
