While we’ve been getting plenty of extraterrestrial ensembles these days from the Dune: Part Two press tour, Anitta just served some more intergalactic goodness with her latest look.
The Brazilian singer-songwriter attended the 36th Premios Lo Nuestro award ceremony Thursday night in Miami, where she wore an eye-catching set from the Mugler Spring/Summer ’24 ready-to-wear collection.
For the event honoring Spanish-language music, Anitta wore a dramatic boat-neck top with square shoulders and long sleeves that were slightly oversize. The top was paired with a matching mermaid skirt that pooled in a large circular train at the bottom. Along the waist, the skirt featured a deep V shape and wide hip cutouts, accentuated by a clear plate that sat on Anitta’s waist and jutted out slightly on the sides.
This waist accessory (which somewhat mirrored the look of a pelvis) was quite the unusual touch, and added a space-age element to Anitta’s look. If you’ll recall, a few of these waist-plates made their appearance on the Mugler Spring/Summer ’24 runway in versions that were clear as well as transparent black.
To contrast the dark pieces of her outfit, Anitta accessorized with a thick, white diamond-encrusted ring and matching climber earrings that snaked around her earlobes. Beauty-wise, her auburn hair fell behind her in slightly crimped waves, and her nails were painted a blush pink, which coordinated with the highlighter on her cheeks.
Anitta was nominated for two prizes at the ceremony last night: Female Urban Artist of the Year and Urban/Pop Collaboration of the Year. During the show, she also performed a mash-up of her songs “Bellakeo,” “Bota Niña” (with Bad Gyal), and “Mil Veces.”
