The Best 20 Items in the Sale!
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is officially open to everyone! Today is the start of Public Access so even if you’re not a Nordstrom cardholder and didn’t have early access, you can shop RIGHT NOW!
My goal is to save you time and make shopping this HUGE sale simpler! For my favorites in 25+ categories, check out the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale post here OR click on the tab in the main menu above! I also shared more of my favorite, completely styled outfits in this post and over on Youtube.
Please note: This is a highly shopped sale and while there are some restocks, many products sell out quickly. Also, sizing may be limited! I will try to update posts with the most recent, relevant information.
Size reference: I’m 5’4″ and wear a size 2-4, Small & 26 jeans. Denise is 5’5″ and wears a size 6. Everything featured runs true to size unless specifically stated.
Sweaters & Tops
To make it easier for you to find what you’re looking for, I’ve broken up my favorites by categories. First up, tops and sweaters!
#1) Free People Cable Knit Sweater
We’re shocked that this Free People sweater hasn’t sold out yet! It’s such a good basic for fall. It’s the perfect cropped length for wearing with high-rise jeans, has pretty cable knit detailing, and comes in a few color options. I’m wearing the Chocolate color but I also ordered it in Silver Feather.
#2) AllSaints Raw Hem Sweater
This is probably my favorite sweater from the sale! I’m wearing a grey AllSaints sweater that has an edgy, cool raw hem that makes it one of those basics-with-a-twist I’m always talking about. I like the casual look of the roomier fit and it looks great half-tucked or untucked. It’s also very soft! The online description says it’s 100% polyester but the tag on the sweater says it’s 95% cashmere and we think it feels even better than last year’s version of the sweater.
#3) Good American Bodysuit
This wrap-front bodysuit is such a good basic for fall/winter. The wrap front is super flattering on all body shapes, the v-neckline is also very flattering and not too low cut, and since it’s a bodysuit it’s easy to style with jeans, pants, and skirts. The black has very limited sizing right now but the white or green will be just as versatile for fall/winter.
#4) AllSaints Mesh Top
This is a really cool top by AllSaints that’s a fun piece to add to your closet if you’re looking for something unique. It’s a long sleeve, mesh, mock neck top with a really pretty, unique print. I love the draping around the neck and that the feminine moth print in the black fabric is a perfect mix of feminine and edgy. It’s also a great price point at $65.
Bottoms & Dresses
#5) Good American Coated Jeans
I bought last year’s version of these black coated Good American jeans and this year’s version is very similar. They have a 26.5” inseam (perfect for shorter women), are bootcut, and have a subtle coated look. Our YouTube co-producer bought last year’s version and wore them so much that she repurchased this year’s version too!
Sizing note: They run very small, order TWO sizes up.
#6) AG Mari Jeans
Denise is wearing pair of AG Mari jeans that are a Team Busbee favorite! These are the perfect dark wash, have a versatile straight-leg silhouette, and a flattering high-rise. And they’re right at $150…which is great considering the quality. You can wear these with every top you have in your closet for years and years!
#7) Rails Chambray Dress
This chic chambray dress by Rails is a wear-now, wear-later piece. Wear it for the rest of the summer months with cute sandals or heels…then style it like I did with boots or booties for fall. This dress has a super flattering smocked waist that creates the illusion of a much smaller waist. I love the chambray-looking fabric, perfect lightweight feel, subtle puff shoulders, and ruffle details. Keep scrolling for more info on this gorgeous cardigan I’m wearing with this dress…
#8) Frame Puff Sleeve A-Line Dress
Every woman needs a versatile LBD in her closet and this one by Frame is great. It’s SO chic and perfect for events, luncheons, work, etc. It has an A-line skirt with strategically placed pleats that make for a very flattering shape. The voluminous puff sleeves are so fun, and we love that it has buttons on the top.
Outerwear
#9) Open Edit Cardigan
This longline cardigan by Open Edit is such a good basic for fall/winter. It also comes in blue and dark grey, but beige will be the most wearable. I like the ribbed fabric and the weight of the sweater. It’s one of those pieces you can wear casually with leggings around the house or with jeans for a casual dinner.
#10) Good American Faux Leather Blazer
This faux leather blazer by Good American is such a good piece to have in your closet for nights out or when you want to add a little extra edge to your casual look. I featured it in my NSale Sneak Peek video and it looks even better in person than it does online. Plus, the fit is amazing! I tried on a few of the faux leather blazers that are in the sale and this one is by far the best!
#11) Frame Cropped Navy Blazer
If you’re looking for a blazer you can wear with everything from workwear to jeans to dress, this cropped blazer by Frame is perfect! If you work in an office, you can wear it with the matching navy trousers or style it with jeans for an elevated casual look. It’s a great length, the navy blue is really pretty, and I love the structured shoulder.
Shoes
#12) Steve Madden Booties
Steve Madden has had a pair of black lug-sole booties in the sale for the past two years so I was excited to see what this year’s version looked like. I picked them up and they are half the weight of last year’s version…HALF! I was shocked at how lightweight they are. So, if you need a casual pair of black booties you can wear with jeans, skirts, or dresses, these are a great option. I love the chunky sole, manageable heel, and they’re SO comfortable!
#13) HOFF Sneakers
I was very pleasantly surprised by these HOFF sneakers. This brand is new to me, but I loved the retro look and different tones on these sneakers so much. I have on the color ‘San Diego’ but they come in a few other colors too. They’re super comfortable (have a memory foam insole), lightweight, and unique. They only come in whole sizes so if you’re in between sizes, order one size up.
#14) Dolce Vita Platform Heels
How cute are these Dolce Vita platform sandals?! Platforms are very on-trend right now and I don’t see them going anywhere anytime soon. I love the look of the twisted straps and that it’s a chunkier block heel, which makes them easier to walk in. They have a 4” heel and a 1” platform so it’s more like walking in 3” heels…which is very manageable. They also come in beige, ivory, and pink.
#15) Nordstrom Water-Resistant Moto Boots
If you’re looking to add some edge to your look, these black Nordstrom moto boots are a must-try! They have cool buckle details and they’re water-resistant. They have a chunky sole with great tread and a very small 1.5” heel and 1” platform. You can wear these with jeans, dresses, or skirts to add a little extra edge to any look.
#16) 27 Edit Naturalizer Booties
There are SO many booties in the sale and I wanted to find a pair that’s a little dressier but still very versatile. These black 27 Edit Naturalizer booties are a little extra special and unique because they’re leather and suede! The 2.75” kitten heel is very manageable, easy to walk in, and they’re very comfortable. The pointed toe really elongates the leg…especially paired with dark wash or black jeans!
#17) Marc Fisher Knee-High Boots
These knee-high Marc Fisher boots are such a gorgeous beige color I had to try them on. They’re such a good basic if you don’t already have knee-high boots and they come in black leather and black suede if you don’t like the beige. They have a manageable and easy-to-walk-in 3” heel and are super comfortable (for heels).
#18) Dolce Vita Loafers
If you’re looking for a pair of closed-toe flats but don’t want to go with traditional ballet flats…consider trying loafers! I’m wearing a pair of Dolce Vita loafers that are super lightweight, cool, and VERY comfortable. They would also make a great pair of work shoes. They run a little big so I would order a half size down from your normal size so your heel doesn’t slip out of the back when you walk.
Accessories & Jewelry
#19) Rag & Bone Hat
I own a few different Rag & Bone hats and they last for YEARS and they never go out of style! This one is such a good neutral for fall/winter. It’s an investment but when you think of cost per wear, it’s worth it! The quality is just that good. But this one is similar and more affordable.
#20) All My Monica Vinader Jewelry!
ALL of my favorite Monica Vinader jewelry is still in stock…YAY! I love Monica Vinader so much because the pieces stand the test of time. They’re pricier but I’ve been wearing the same pieces for about 3 years and don’t see any tarnishing or wear. I linked the four pieces I’m wearing below. They all make an impact and add some oomph to a look without overpowering it or being “too much”.
