According to Nina, their first piece of jewelry from BMJ was a bridesmaid’s gift for her sister’s wedding back in 2010! It was Nina’s first year of college and their first year in Marquette. The tiny copper pendant had a tree sawn out with stamped leaves; all the bridesmaids wore them for the wedding. Little did Nina know how important BMJ would become to them!
With Beth being on her artist sabbatical Nina holds down the fort in our upstairs studio. They’re incredibly knowledgable about the jewelry making process, she’s got an amazing eye for detail, and we rely so much on their expertise.
Check out Nina’s favorites for this season!
“The Forever Home pendant is very special to me because is it a fundraiser for UPAWS. They’re a great organization and I’m a huge animal lover (I have 3 cats and a nearly one year old puppy).
The pendant is also really beautifully designed with lots of figure-ground reversal and whimsical details like the sparkly stars and the crescent moon; I just love the fairy-tale feeling of it.”
“The Perched Chickadee earrings remind me of our Summer Songbird earrings, but in my opinion even better because I absolutely love chickadees and birch trees! They have a more wintery vibe and are very pretty.”
