There’s something about Kate Middleton that I will never get tired of. She’s equal parts classy, relatable and regal — the latter being both in title and style.
As a shopping editor, I’m constantly checking on Kate’s latest outfits and ongoings. Aside from the occasional ballgown and tiara, I’m most intrigued by her everyday accessories. Why? Because despite (what I’m assuming) is a limitless wardrobe budget, Kate tends to opt for the high street, giving us little people a real chance at royal style.
Below, you’ll find six everyday accessories the Princess of Wales turns to time and time again. Did I mention they start at $106? From one royal-obsessed to the next, you’re welcome.
As a member of the royal family, Kate Middleton’s wardrobe isn’t short of luxe designer items (read: expensive). However, one of her go-to styles is surprisingly affordable — Superga’s 2750 Cotu Classic Sneakers.
An under-$110 steal, the Princess of Wales has been photographed wearing the shoes on several occasions since 2016. Affordable and royal-approved, finding your size in the Supergas can be like tracking down a needle in a haystack. To help you with your search, here’s where you can shop Supergas in Canada:
Our suggestion: Get your hands on these Kate Middleton-approved shoes while they’re still in stock.
Princess Kate has been spotted with a Strathberry accessory on hand several times. She has the brand’s Multrees Wallet in at least three colours: Black-embossed crocodile, vanilla and navy-embossed crocodile. The Edinburgh-based accessory brand is a favourite for the royal family, with sister-in-law Meghan Markle among its fans.
No Kate Middleton accessories roundup would be complete without a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses. The Princess of Wales has turned to the brand’s iconic frames time and time again, most notably at various Wimbledon matches throughout the years. While she’s been known to sport Ray-Ban’s matte black Youngster frames, the classic Wayfarers are probably her most worn.
The iconic Ray-Ban Wayfarers are available in six colours.
These Kate Middleton-approved sunnies feature a square frame for a fresh, unisex look.
Now, we’re not saying Princess Kate’s DeMellier London handbag is the most affordable accessory on the list, but if you compare it to the $300,000 Birkin that Kim Kardashian was just photographed with — it’s a bargain! Kate Middleton has been seen with DeMellier’s chic Nano Montreal bag several times and has at least two colours in her collection: navy and toffee.
The Nano Montreal is available in 12 colours, including bubblegum pink, taupe, and emerald green.
While the Princess of Wales undoubtedly has the upper hand on heirloom pieces, the 41-year-old isn’t shy about introducing new designers into the mix, like Monica Vinader. Photographed wearing Monica Vinader as early as 2016, the British jewelry brand is a regular fixture in Kate Middleton’s wardrobe.
The brand’s Siren Wire Earrings are a regular fixture in Kate’s accessories rotation; however, they’re not the only Monica Vinader piece worth mentioning. The princess has also been photographed wearing the Nura Pearl Necklace and Riva Diamond Pendant Charm Necklace.
Every Monica Vinader piece is handcrafted with 100 per cent recycled 18ct gold vermeil and solid sterling silver, reducing CO2 emissions by over 60 per cent.
This royal-approved necklace is crafted from ethically-sourced diamonds and recycled silver.
We’ve already covered Kate’s warm-weather shoe of choice (Superga Cotu Sneakers), but her fall and winter footwear is just as good. The mother-of-three has been known to favour Blundstone’s durable Chelsea boots — a regular fixture in her mucky weather wardrobe (see here and here for proof).
The unisex Blundstone boots come engineered with impact-protection technology to provide wearers with shock protection and support in the heel.
