Janelle Monae won the SeeHer Award at the Critics Option present this weekend — and it seems she wore one thing that was fairly on topic … ’cause absolutely everyone bought an eyeful.
The actress/singer strike the crimson carpet Sunday at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in L.A., where by she was a person of the clear standouts of the evening in terms of manner … donning an classy black gown that seems to be from Vera Wang’s Spring 2023 selection.
Of system, when she seemed fantastic … what actually turned heads was the actuality that her gown was see-via, specifically upstairs — the place she failed to feel to be donning a bra.
There had been other relatively revealing cutouts in the gown — all over the pelvis location — that designed it a total stunner … and Janelle pulled it off with type. She’s by natural means a knockout, but a ton of people today have been kinda shocked she went out there like this … exhibiting off the bod!
Sooner or later, she acknowledged her award for the night — which was meant to honor artists who give up illustration and authenticity in their roles and performances and function … and Janelle does equally in movie and in her tunes. She acknowledged as considerably in her speech.
JM identified her pronouns (she/her, they/them) … and created a point to shout out any LGBT little ones at home who could possibly live with family members who really don’t accept them. She stated, “I see you.”
Terrific concept and all … but still, people might’ve been a little distracted. In a fantastic way. 😅
